AccessoriesAcoustic Framing & Hardware
Cold-rolled hot-dip galvanized steel cassette keel framing system with main, sub, and edge keels plus M8 hardware. Provides the decoupled structure that secures acoustic boards while preserving acoustic isolation.
The Cassette Keel system is the structural framework behind Sounds Good acoustic wall and ceiling systems. Manufactured from cold-rolled hot-dip galvanized steel, the keels create a secure fixing structure for sound insulation boards while preserving the acoustic decoupling that prevents sound bridges.
The range includes main, sub, and edge cassette keels in profiles matched to each acoustic system (Q70, Q130, Q140, T90, T90Pro, T90Double, T190), supported by M8 hardware — hex nuts, threaded rod, expansion bolts, and drywall screws — for complete installation.
The Cassette Keel system is built from a range of galvanized-steel keel profiles and M8 fixings, each matched to specific acoustic ceiling and wall systems.

The Cassette Keel system provides a secure yet acoustically decoupled framework:
Combined with shock dampers and vibration damping tape, the keel framework holds the acoustic boards firmly while breaking the rigid connections that would otherwise transmit structure-borne sound.
A high-performance acoustic system depends on its framing. The Cassette Keel range is engineered to match each Sounds Good ceiling and wall system, ensuring the boards are secured without compromising decoupling.
Cassette keels are mechanically fixed to the structure using M8 expansion bolts and threaded rod, with sub and edge keels completing the grid. Vibration damping tape is applied at connection points to minimize rigid contact, and acoustic boards are then fixed to the keel framework with drywall screws.
The Cassette Keel system supports all decoupled acoustic build-ups:
